The song “Baby it´s cold outside” represents well what is happenning now in Madrid. It is chilly and it has snowed.  I loved the song since the very first time I heard it so this is a good title for a post on being prepared for the cold weather.

Last year I wrote a post on how to layer and today you have the  practical demonstration on how to do it. To summarize we have to make a thinner base over the one we will add the layers, we have to play with textures and balance the outfit. 

The inner layer was a basic thermal top. Over it I wore a dusty pink turtle neck sweater and to complete the ensemble a light pink puffer vest by Adrienne Vittadini. This is one of the purchases I made via ThredUp and I am completely satisfied with the result as it is chic and cozy. For bottoms I chose grey  jeggins over thin tights. 

Using the rule of coloring I put the darker slimming color at the bottom and the light on top to balance the look.

The most outerlayer was based on a wool scarf in different pink shades, pink gloves and a two tone grey peacoat. A very comfy outfit because baby, it´s cold outside.

La canción ´”Baby it´s cold outside” me ha servido de inspiración para presentar un ejemplo de cómo vestir a capitas para combatir el tiempo gélido que nos toca en estos días.  El año pasado ya hice un post sobre cómo hacer las capitas y hoy es una demostración práctica. Así que vamos con la capa interna, llevo una camiseta blanca térmica sobre la que puse  mi jersey de cuello vuelto rosa palo.  Encima añadí un chaleco acolchado de Adrienne Vittadini que he comprado en la tienda de segunda mano online ThredUp. Estoy contenta con el resultado pues como parte de abajo llevo unos jeggins grises que quedan super chulos con el rosa.

Como capa exterior un chaquetón en dos tonos de gris conjuntado con una pañoleta de lana con varias gamas de rosa, pendientes, guantes y manoletinas en rosa palo. Como podéis ver queda abrigadito y curioso.
