Apart from starting a diet to lose weight there are some ways to dress slimmer that work for everybody no matter their size or body shape. We have to consider:
The most flattering silhouettes are A- line skirts and fit and flare dresses. Both create the illusion of an hourglass figure as they cinch the waist and then flare over the hips and thighs which camouflages well the bottom part of your body.
If you wear loose clothes they will skim your lumps and bumps, concealing tummy and creating the illusion of a slimmer figure. The opposite will happen if you wear tight clothes which will pull and showcase all your bumps and lumps.
There certain combinations that balance proportions and make you look slimmer regardless your size. My favourite way is to pair a long top with skinny jeans or pants.
This will elongate your upper body and focus attention into your legs. You can multiply the slimming effects if you wear navy blue or black clothes.
Monochrome outfits are the most slimming ones, specially if they are in dark colors. To have a more slenderized effect just look for flowy silhouettes which will not hug your curves.
Nude shoes elongate your legs making you look taller if you wear them with skirts and dresses. If you look for a pair matching your skin tone you will multiply the elongating effect.
Layering has also slimming effects. If you use sleeveless long bests over a long sleeve shirt and skinny jeans you will look thinner as it makes a vertical line. To reinforce the idea try to match the color of the vest or cardigan with the color of the pants.
WEARING BELTS AND TUCKING YOUR BLOUSE IN
Tucking in your top and cinching your waist with a belt are other ways of looking slimmer. To maximize the rule tuck a loose blouse or shirt into a fit and flare skirt and this will skim your waistline.
This rule works for every woman no matter of your size.
Have you tried these tips to look slimmer? Which one is your favorite?
Have a nice day! Blessings and hugs
