LEATHER BLAZER AND JEANS

Another teacher´s attire in the post. However it is more than a teacher´s attire. It is a day to night look. Black short sleeve blouse with a lace panel and a lace trim paired with black skinny jeans. Since the afternoons were warm – almost 16ºC – a leather blazer was enough coverage. However, the blouse is very décolleté then I wore a colorful pashmina. Earrings, ring and shopping bag were in light green to match with the scarf. For shoes my black Pretty Ballerinas flats.

The leather blazer is a versatile piece. I purchased it two years ago in Violeta by Mango spring sales. It was very affordable and the quality of the leather excellent. I have worn it in many occasions and I have always got complements. It is difficult to find good leather pieces and those by Violeta are especially designed for plus sized women.

The top was by Forever 21 and I bought it in Thred Up which is an online thrift and consignment store. It was new with tags and I paid 10 dollars when its original price was 17. I have used Thred Up in several occasions and it has been a very convenient experience since I got some dresses in excellent condition at a fraction of their cost. I usually prefer new items with tags, although I also have purchased second hand items and I was highly satified with my choice. I reccommend to use this website to buy basics or maybe designer pieces. The next weeks I will show you my other purchases from ThredUp and I would love to hear your opinions on second hand shopping. In Spain we are not used to it but I have to recognize it is worth to shop second hand as you can find lovely pieces at convenient prices as well as it is environmentally friendly.

De nuevo un look de los que llevo al Instituto, si ya sé que me repito pero aquí tratamos de dar ideas de cómo vestirnos en la vida real y no tanto para posar en Instagram u otras redes sociales. Conviene decirlo porque a veces se nos olvida la finalidad de las cosas. Este conjunto se centra en un blazer de cuero de Violeta by Mango. Lo tengo hace dos temporadas y lo compré en las rebajas de primavera por un precio irrisorio – 50 euros con el redondeo. Me parece una pieza muy ponible y la verdad es que la he usado bastante. En pleno invierno parece no resultar muy útil pero esta semana ha hecho un tiempo increíble con tardes plácidas de temperaturas suaves que invitaban a quitarnos capas. Así que lo he rescatado y lo he combinado con unos vaqueros negros y una blusa de manga corta con un panel de encaje y un lacito para anudar. Como es un poco escotado añadimos una bufamanta de varios colores entre los cuales está el verde claro que sirvió para dar color al conjunto y lo hemos usado en los accesorios: pendientes, anillo y shopping bag.

Aprovechando que estrenaba la blusa de Forever 21 os hablaré de Thredup que es una tienda on line de segunda mano. Esta blusa estaba nueva con etiquetas pero tienen otras prendas de segunda mano a precios muy buenos y en excelente estado de conservación. He utilizado esta web en varias ocasiones y no me he arrepentido de mis selecciones. En próximos posts os pondré otras prendas que he encargado a esta tienda online.
