When Beyoncé sang Single Ladies,  I  thought how difficult could be to find rings for plus size women. However, nowadays things have changed and it seems much easier to find rings for plus sized women. Many brands design bigger sizes or maybe we can have those rings who can be adapted just making them wider or tighter. In any case, rings are very useful accessories to polish a look.

As you all know, rings can be worn many ways, depending on what look you are looking for or what you are wearing for the day. There are some basic stylistic ways to wear rings:

Bands are  simple rings and a good compliment for other rings. It is common to wear them in the same hand.

Rings should match with your outfit and sometimes they are used to highlight the color palette of an outfit while other times what we try to do is wear the same color rings as other jewelry you have on matching with necklace earrings and bracelet.

When you wear silver necklaces or earrings it is better you do not wear gold rings. It is also convenient to consider which rings are appropriate for casual or more formal outfits.

My favourite is to wear a cocktail ring which does not require other rings as they must be worn alone.

Wedding and engagement rings usually are worn in formal looks although it is fun to wear them with other “simpler” rings.

When wearing various rings try to balance them between both hands as well as space them in different fingers.

Cuando Beyoncé lanzó su canción  “Single Ladies” me planteé lo difícil que a veces resulta encontrar anillos que valgan a mujeres como yo que tenemos los dedos “gorditos”. Sin embargo, hoy en día hay muchas marcas permiten hacer anillos a medida sin coste adicional o bien los hacen de modo que se pueden adaptar al diámetro adecuado abriéndose o cerrándose los extremos a conveniencia.

A pesar de lo difícil que resultaba a veces encontrar anillos que me sirvieran, siempre he preferido los anillos a las pulseras y algunas veces a colgantes y collares. Y con ello he desarrollado un poco de sentido común a la hora de combinar estas piezas con la ropa.  Muchas veces utilizo anillos y pendientes para dar un poco de color a indumentarias neutras o muy sencillas. Otras veces lo que hago es armonizar el anillo a las tonalidades que dominan en el vestuario. Me suele gustar mucho llevar anillos grandes como pieza única junto con pendientes sencillos para que la vista se pose en ellos frente a otras partes del cuerpo. Muchas veces lo que hago es coordinar los anillos con la gama de los otros accesorios que llevo. Por último, lo que no suelo hacer es mezclar oro con plata o con otros metales.  En eso sigo siendo demasiado sobria. Como dice mi hermana, ¡no se puede tener todo!
