In conjunction with my Birkin Basket I decided to make a vintage look pairing it with a wonderful dress by BlackButterfly purchased via Amazon at the beginning of the season . Being a plus size women, I have realized this type of fit and flare dresses play wonders with my  body type , so I got another one.  Then we have created a 1950s look based on this wonderful dress, then two decades together – the 50s with the dress and the 60s with the Birkin Basket.

I love this dress for its fabric, design and pattern. Let´s analyze each of them. The fabric is 97% cotton with 3 % of elastane which provides comfort and perfect adjustment to your body. On the other hand, the dress is fully lined so you needn´t to be conscious about your undergarments.

The design is really flattering, and the full circle flared skirt gives volume as well as a nice movement. In case you want a maximum volume, you can add an organza petticoat.  And the floral print is gorgeous.  And yes, white background! Well, this summer is all about being out of my comfort zone: being sleeveless and wearing light colors. So, both in one garment with a cute result.

Since the dress is bold and the Birkin Basket is cute, the accessories should be minimal. Then I wore off white leather ballerinas emphasizing the 50s vibes with amethyst ring and earrings.

Hoy traemos un vestido de estilo años 50 que junto con la cesta Birkin hace un estilo vintage completo. El vestido es una monada y a las que somos de talla grande este tipo de vestidos nos sientan de maravilla pues se ajustan en la parte superior y las faldas con vuelo camuflan nuestras caderas o estómago. Este me encanta por su diseño, confección y estampado floral. Vayamos por partes, el diseño es favorecedor y el volumen de la falda no es excesivo con lo que da movimiento sin añadir redondez. 

A las que quieran más volumen pueden añadir un cancán de organza para conseguir un mayor movimiento. En cuanto a la confección diré que está realizado en un tejido con mezcla de algodón (97%) que da caída al vestido y un 3% de elastano que permite un ajuste perfecto. Por último, un estampado floral que me encanta. Sí, sí ya sé que es blanco y el blanco y yo no somos muy buenos compañeros.

Para completar el estilismo unas manoletinas en color crema, unos pendientes y anillo de amatista que complementan al morado del vestido y mi cestita.

Con la idea de que este verano hay que cambiar cosas, me he dado cuenta de que con este look me salto dos de mis inseguridades: el color blanco que todo lo agranda y el mostrar mis brazos al desnudo. Creo que ambos “complejos” están superados con un look tan chulo como este.
