We all feel powerful and feminine wearig heels, specially when show off our girly dresses and our cutest skirts. However we also can pair them with lovely flats without making a fashion mistake. The rules to mix dresses with flats are simple and for sure you Will look polished and and well-proportioned.

I love heels but I cannot wear them so I figured the way to wear flats  wihtout being frumpy. And let´s be practical and use flats when we are standing for a long time.

The secret to join flats and dresses is to balance proportions and color.

When dressing for the office you need a sophisticated flat, for example mules or loafers  while when you run errands you can wear your confiest trainers.

For formal dressing you can pair you delicate lace dresses with pointed ballet flats or embellished slides.

I usually wear neutral shoes as they are the most versatile. White and nude are perfect for summer where as black and grey a the most convenient for Winter. However we can play contrasts highlighing a monochrome look with a vibrant flats or reverse toning down colorful outfits with muted flats. And my favorite is to maitaining a vivid color from head to toe. The trendiest ballet flats for the season are the lepard print ones which work also as a neutral.

And don´t forget to have a pair of nude pointy flats to elongate your legs. If you only want to have a pair of flats, opt for the nude ones and if you want a couple of pairs, then the nude ones plus a pair of pointy black ballet flats.

Do you like flats? What type of flats are your favorite?
