Otro de los complementos indispensables en un buen look son los bolsos. Tendemos a comprarlos bien porque nos gustan o porque están de moda. Sin embargo, hay otros factores a considerar como el hecho de si nos favorece o no en relación a nuestro peso y estatura. Un bolso puede destacar o arruinar un conjunto, de ahí que sea interesante pensar en que bolso es el más apropiado para la ropa que llevamos. Por ello vamos a jugar con la proporción y los efectos ópticos.

Como regla general recomiendo utilizar un bolso con la forma contraria a la de tu figura. Es decir, si eres alta y delgada utiliza bolsos con formas redondeadas.

Si eres rellenita opta por bolsos rectangulares o cuadrados.

Otro aspecto a considerar cuando eliges tu bolso es su tamaño. El tamaño del bolso siempre estará en relación a tu figura. Las mujeres altas y espigadas pueden permitirse bolsos de casi todos los tamaños si bien deben huir de los extremos, es decir, de los enormes y de los diminutos.

Los bolsos excesivamente pequeños no son apropiados para las mujeres rellenitas ya que no guardan proporción con tu silueta y quedarían como perdidos sin destacar. Si se trata de un bolso para colgar y es excesivamente pequeño no destacará y te dará un aspecto aniñado.

Para el día os aconsejo un bolso en forma de cubo que se pueda colgar, una cartera, un bolso de mano bien estructurado, un bolso bandolera que cubra generosamente tu cuerpo.

Para ocasiones especiales y eventos os recomiendo carteras en forma de sobre para llevar debajo del brazo o sobre la cadera para que un bolso relativamente grande de la impresión óptica de que la cintura es más fina.

En definitiva a la hora de comprar un bolso:

• Tomate tu tiempo y prueba varios modelos y formas.
• Olvídate de las últimas tendencias y busca lo que más te favorece.
• Considera la funcionalidad del bolso y tu ritmo de vida.

A trendy functional bag can add kilos to your figure while a well selected purse could minimize your weight. Therefore it is convenient you base your handbag selection on other reasons than fashion.

My proportion rule is based on the idea of choosing a shape which is the opposite of your body type. Those tall and thin women could wear rounded bags to balance their figure. Then short plus size women could use rectangular or square handbags. In other words, polish your body outfit with the contrary shape.

Another aspect to consider when you choose a handbag is the size. The handbag size will always be in proportion to your body. Tall and thin women could afford almost all types of handbags and purses. However they should not wear small handbags which make them look like a giant.

For Plus size women I suggest that carrying a tiny bag is not the best since it gets lost in the outfit and makes you look childish.

My  suggestions for plus size women are shoulder bags, statement satchels, well-structured handle purses, cross- bodies that cover generously your tummy area and bucket shaped bags. When attending to special events and parties you can wear envelopes at the hip or under the arms to minimize your waist.

To make the story short have these ideas in mind when buying a handbag:

• Take your time and try on different styles to see which is the most flattering.
• Forget about fashionable designs and opt for those that complement your figure.
• Think about your life style and look for something practical.
